A bit about me

I'm Sofianos Gerodimos, a full stack software engineer based in Greece, focused on building clean and efficient software. My strongest area is the backend — designing APIs, working with databases, and structuring server-side logic that actually scales.

I work primarily with Node.js and Expressfor server development, and I'm comfortable with both SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Supabase. On the frontend side, I use React and Next.js to build interfaces that tie everything together. I also work with AWS — services like IoT Core, S3, Cognito, EC2, CloudWatch, and IAM — to build and run cloud-backed infrastructure.

I'm currently working as a Software Engineer at MC Chargers, building backend services for enterprise applications on AWS infrastructure — including IoT Core, S3, and Cognito — to support production systems and device connectivity.

CardVault

Full-stack Pokémon TCG collection tracker. Search every card across all sets and expansions, inspect live Cardmarket pricing (trend, low, average), and manage your collection with condition grading and daily value history. Upload front and back photos of your own cards, export the collection as a shareable image, and publish it through a public link. Auth covers email/password and Google OAuth, protected by Cloudflare Turnstile and per-route rate limiting. Animated card carousel with Framer Motion. Deployed on a VPS with Docker and Nginx, shipped through GitHub Actions.
